NOTE: For me, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 is the key sentence in this chapter. I memorized it many years ago, and it has served me well. It seems that the last bastions against God to fall in our lives - are our thoughtsand thinking processes.

There is an analogy from the OT that tends to clarify the seriousness of this omission in the eyes of God. Out of some 20 kings of Judah after the disruption of the kingdom of Israel following Solomon's serious lapse, only 9were good. And of these 9, only 2 removed the High Places: Hezekiah and Josiah! Thispleased God! And when weremove ourhigh places, and think God'sthoughts after Him instead of our own - this is the transformation that God is looking forward to in us, by the renewing of our mind, Romans 12:2.

Thisis the way of thinking that was in Paul! Thisis the secret of the unfolding of the whole of 2 Corinthians 10. Let us too bring everythought into captivity to Christ! - J.A.W.
